Week One - Nutrition for Day to Day
Learn how to eat to meet your daily energy needs and what is the right macronutrient composition at meals.
You will build on your already good nutrition practices and refine your day to day nutrition intake in order to:

Help you to train and run better

Week Two - Nutrition for Training
Learn how to fuel your training properly, recover quicker and how to adjust your nutrition intake for rest days and changes in training load.
You will learn:
What and when to eat and drink before, during and after your specific training sessions.
Why fuelling your training will support your recovery, when should you be eating a recovery snack after each of your training sessions and what recovery snack you should be eating.
What supplements may benefit your training. performance and health as an athlete and whether you are currently taking the right supplements for you.
Week Three - Nutrition for your Races
Learn how to plan, practise and tailor your nutrition and hydration for your race day, helping you to meet those cut-off times and finish the race faster.
We will cover:
How much to eat and drink for you and your race, and how to develop a strategy that you can keep using time and time again.
Practical tips & nutrition strategies on how to manage your race nutrition challenges, like avoiding stomach issues, managing nausea, fuelling throughout your entire race even if you have no appetite, how to fuel if you've previously struggled to keep foods and fluids down.
Real food and sports product recommendations.
Week Four - What is Fat Adaptation and Dietary Myths Busted!
Learn what fat adaptation is, how it influences the use of fat and carbohydrate as fuel sources and the impact this has on your run performance.
Spoiler alert: No matter what you eat, training is the most important factor when it comes to fat adaptation!
We will cover:
The pros and cons of fasted training and whether it will benefit you.
Myth busting around the best diets for ultra run performance.
What foods you should be eating for optimal running performance.
Week Five - Weight Management and Under-Fuelling
You will learn:
How to know if you are eating to meet your energy needs to support your training and health.
How to identify signs and symptoms of under-fuelling and how to eat better for your performance.
Simple weight management strategies to optimise your body composition without having to restrict your food intake.
Week Six - Special Guest Live Q&A
Join live for this Q&A with an ultra running elite athlete. You will be able to ask your questions in person. You will also receive discount codes for nutrition products and have the opportunity to sign up for continued support to help you achieve your nutrition goals.
Course fee is £395* (*intro price if you sign up in full before the 1st December 2022), payment is required in full at the time of registration. Once payment is received you will receive an email containing confirmation of your place, the course syllabus and your joining instructions. The next course starts January 2023 and each session will be live.
